Burak Yılmaz Join Galatasaray

Negotiations for the transfer of Burak Yılmaz from Trabzonspor are finalized with a contract effective immediately.

Born in Antalya in 1985 Yılmaz began his footbal career when he was thirteen at the youth academy of Antalyaspor and within three years he joined its underage team.

In 2001 he joined the U17 Turkey National Squad followed by U19 squad two years later. Finally he became a member of the His debut at the Turkey Professional Football Team was in a friendly game versus Azerbaijan in April 2006.

His professional career began during the season 2004-2005 at Antalyaspor. In 2006 Yılmaz was signed by Beşiktaş followed by Manisaspor during the season break. By the end of the 2007-2008 season Yılmaz signed a four-year contract with Fenerbahçe coached by Luis Aragones who did call him only for six games within the first half of the season 2009-2010. He was then given on loan to Eskişehirspor where he did not stay long but joined Trabzonspor coached by Şenol Güneş.

Burak Yılmaz finished the 2011-2012 football season as the score leader of the Spor Toto Super League with 33 goals.
