AYHAN AKMAN

He started playing football in Inegölspor. In 1994 he transferred to Gaziantepspor and during three years he played for this team he performed extremely well. He appeared 102 matches and scored 23 goals.

In 1998 he signed a sensational contract with Beşiktaş. During three years, Akman played in 68 matches and scored 18 goals, yet due to injuries he gradually drew away from the rest of the team. Ultimately, he came to Galatasaray after its reconstruction with Lucescu.

Attaining defensive roals too with Lucescu’s system, he lived his first Turkish League championship the next year with Galatasaray. He was in Galatasaray during 2005 Fortis Turkey Cup and 2005-2006, 2007-2008 Turkcell Super League championships. Playing in various sections of the midfield he played fort he national team 18 times. He is married with two children.
