Uğur Uçar is one of the players who was trained in our own Academy and who most frequently found place in the first team squad in the last years.
Although plays as a right-back, he makes fast runs up the right wing and supplies crosses to the forwards. He was on the loan for Kayserispor during Erik Gerets period. Together with Karl-Heinz Feldkamp, Uğur was back home and also a key player in defense during the 2007-2008 season. He has been playing for the U21 National Team for the last three years and his appearance in the national team reached up to 88.
Previous season Uğur broke his patella after a clash with Batista during the Konyaspor match which was postponed due to snow. Working hard to come back to the football field after the surgery, Uğur is considered to be the “future captain” by the fans who know him from the Youth Team.
