In 2005-2006 season with Erik Gerets, he was able to play in the First Team for the first time. That season, playing in the 13 Super League matches and 2 Turkish Cup matches, Aydın scored the victory goal in the additional time of the Konyaspor match, which was one of the breaking points of that season at the end of which Galatasaray became the champion, and impressed everyone.

Although he couldn’t play much in the 2006-2007 season due to his injuries, Aydın Yılmaz appeared in 3 Super League and 9 Youth League matches. In 2007-2008 season he was in Vestel Manisaspor as a loan but he got injured again and couldn’t play much. He transferred to Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediye as a loan in the second half and played for Istanbul BŞB in 7 matches. Especially during the last weeks he was the most successful member of the team and at the end of the season he returned to Galatasaray. Having played in all positions of youth teams, Aydın Yılmaz has scored one goal for the U21, for whom he played in 6 games, as of the beginning of 2008-2009 season.
