After our football team's 2-0 defeat in Yukatel Denizlispor's home in the season-opener, our assistant coach Ümit Davala gave his comments about the game.

"Of course the missed penalty affected our plans. We started the game as we wanted. In the first 20 minutes, we had 2-3 clear chances except the penalty kick. We could have closed the game in that period. After Marcao being sent off, we had to play 10 man for almost an hour. Marcao's second yellow card offense was truly unnecessary. We conceded a goal without giving up a clear chance, from a distant shot. This was the breaking point of the game. These are the kind of games that we can compensate in the long run. This is the 1st round, we did not lose anything. We are going to make up for this loss in the upcoming games."

"Diagne competed like our every player today. Everybody gave what they had in the field. Diagne created some chances, he could have scored but strikers are always bad when they don't score. A striker's main work is scoring goals after all. In the end, I want to congratulate the team. In this humid weather, they played 10-man almost for an hour. It's not an easy task."
