"We will be better as we play together"

"We will be better as we play together"

After our senior football team's 0-0 draw in Champions League debut of the season against Club Brugge in Group A, coach Fatih Terim gave his remarks on the result and our performance to beIN SPORTS Turkey.

Here are the comments of our coach Fatih Terim:

"Of course we would want to win but it was an enjoyable game for the fans. My team gave the signals that they will get better in each passing day. We are a team full of new players, who play together for a short time. As we play together, we will get better."

"Sometimes, we lost the control of the game. Sometimes, we felt we were really close to win it. I was really happy to see that we were physically strong after the 60th minute. In that span, we were really effective. It is important not to lose the away games in Champions League. A win would be better but after all we go back to İstanbul with an advantage. In İstanbul we are going to be play in front of our fans. It's going to get better as the team plays more and more together."

"We won really important matches with our fans in the past. Of course we are going to play a game by taking the Champions League level into account. We are going to host two billion-euro budget teams. I say this is going to be an interesting group. For it to be that way, we need to show some stuff. You can call favorites for a game on paper but only God knows what will happen on the pitch. We are going to do everything we can. I don't think it will be easy to play in front of our fifty thousand fans for any team."
