Born on 9 November 2003 in Colombia, Yaser Asprilla began his football career at his hometown club Envigado. In January 2022, he transferred to English side Watford for a fee of €3 million and was subsequently loaned back to Envigado for the remainder of the season.

With the start of the 2022/23 season, Asprilla began his Championship career and enjoyed two successful seasons in England. Making a total of 86 appearances for Watford across two seasons, he recorded 7 goals and 10 assists. At the beginning of the 2024/25 season, Asprilla moved to Girona for a transfer fee of €18 million.

Gaining UEFA Champions League experience with the Catalan side, Asprilla made 50 appearances during his time in Spain up until January 2026, contributing 4 goals and 2 assists. The Colombian midfielder joined our team on loan during the 2025/26 winter transfer window.

In addition, Asprilla has represented the Colombia national team on 11 occasions, scoring 2 goals for his country.
