Aleksey Batrakov shines

Galatasaray continued their impressive run of form in the UEFA Champions League with a 2-0 victory over VfB Stuttgart. Our 21-year-old player Aleksey Batrakov, who scored both goals to secure the win, delivered a historic performance with a series of remarkable statistics.
With his brace against Stuttgart, Aleksey Batrakov became the youngest player in Galatasaray history to score twice in a single UEFA Champions League match. The young star also became the first player in the club's history to score twice within the opening 15 minutes of a Champions League match.
Following Roman Pavlyuchenko, who achieved the feat with Tottenham Hotspur, Aleksey Batrakov became the first Russian player in UEFA Champions League history to score twice in a single match for a club outside his home country. Having scored his fourth goal in this season's competition, Batrakov also became the first Russian player to reach that tally while representing a club outside Russia.
Having found the net against Barcelona, Lille and Stuttgart, Batrakov became the first midfielder in Galatasaray history to score in three consecutive UEFA Champions League matches.
