Kayserispor 1-5 Galatasaray
Galatasaray faced Bellona Kayserispor in Week 17 of the Trendyol Süper Lig Şamil Ekinci Season. The match, held at the RHG Enertürk Enerji Stadium, ended in a 5-1 victory for our team.
The Lions continued their unbeaten streak, extending the point gap with their closest rival to 8 and solidifying their position at the top of the league. Our goals were scored by Victor Osimhen (4', 71'), Barış Alper Yılmaz (29', 87'), and Yunus Akgün (51'). The home team’s sole goal came from Stephane Bahoken (14').
Abdülkerim Bardakcı celebrated a victory in his 100th match wearing the yellow-red jersey.

Our head coach, Okan Buruk, known for breaking records with Galatasaray, once again made his mark in league history. Okan Buruk became the fastest coach to reach 75 wins in league history, achieving this milestone in his 90th match. Previously, Christoph Daum held the record, reaching 75 wins in 103 matches.

In the opening minutes, our team attacked from the left wing, leading to a penalty after Attamah handballed the ball. Victor Osimhen converted the penalty with a precise shot to the corner in the 4th minute, putting us 1-0 ahead.
Kayserispor responded with two dangerous counterattacks, but our defense held firm. In the 14th minute, Bahoken headed the ball into our net from a corner to equalize: 1-1.
At the 29th minute, Yunus Akgün made a brilliant run on the right and set up Osimhen inside the box. The Nigerian star’s pass found Mertens, whose shot was saved by the goalkeeper, but Barış Alper Yılmaz followed up to score and restore our lead: 1-2.

In the 71st minute, we extended the lead to 4-1. Yunus Akgün perfectly timed a pass to Osimhen, who lifted the ball into the net for his second goal of the match.
Kayserispor’s defensive focus waned as we continued to create chances. In the 77th minute, Mertens played a deep ball to Osimhen, who crossed to Barış Alper in the box. However, Barış’s control gave the goalkeeper time to narrow the angle and block the shot.
Osimhen and Torreira were substituted for Metehan Baltacı and Berat Luş, respectively.
In the 87th minute, Barış Alper Yılmaz struck again. Receiving a pass from Yunus Akgün, he entered the box from the right and unleashed a powerful shot that hit the post and went in, making it 5-1.
In the 90+9th minute, Abdülkerim made a brilliant tackle on Boa Morte to deny Kayserispor a late goal, securing our 5-1 victory.
